This is my design for a Stereo Stand .This Stand will come unassembled for shipping purposes and it is easy to assemble. The Stand weighs around 200 lbs. The weight and thickness of the shelves will provide both great isolation and immunity from transferring vibration (sytem and electrical) through the system. The result: use brass cones (cone point into the wood) between the component and the platform and voila the best of both worlds.

This Stand has 6 shelves -5 shelves 2" thick and 1 top shelf 3" thick. The height is 60" with 10" spacing on the bottom 2 openings and 8" the rest of the way. It is 24"x16" with 4 maple post 2 1/2 square The post are mounted to the sides and Dadoed out 1" deep and 2 " high to fit the shelfs into. There is a pilot hole pre tapped for each shelf and all you have to do is match up the numbered shelfs to the numbered posts and screw in the screws with a cordless drill or a hand screw driver. 30 minutes and you are done. The hardest part will be lifting it and putting it in place. It takes two people.
Believe me it is one Strong Rack and it is very Attractive
I can finish this Stand in Natural Maple or left unfinished or out of any wood or stained any color or Black or anyway you want it.. The Stand on the left is Unfinished Maple and the Stand on in the middle is Maple with a Light Cherry Stain and 3 coats of Satin Polyurethane and the stand on the right is Natural Cherry with 3 coats of Satin Polyurethane.
I can build this Stand to any size you would like.
